Once the molten metal is injected into the cavity, it rapidly cools and solidifies, taking on the shape of the mould. Die casting is a highly efficient metal casting process that involves injecting molten metal into a mould cavity under high pressure, enabling the production of complex and accurately dimensioned parts with an excellent surface finish. 


The process begins with mould preparation, where two hardened steel dies are machined into the desired shape and mounted onto the die casting machine. Molten metal is then injected into the cavity at high pressure, filling it uniformly to ensure minimal porosity. 


Once filled, the metal rapidly cools and solidifies within the die, with careful control to prevent defects. After solidification, the dies are opened, and the newly formed part is ejected using ejector pins. 


Additional cooling and trimming processes may follow to remove excess material or flash, before finishing treatments such as machining, deburring, or surface treatment are applied to achieve the desired final specifications and surface quality.
